USAID?  Local Governance Program in Albania will come to a close in June. LGPA has been working with ten municipalities over the past three and a half years, on local tax modernization, asset management, borrowing, urban planning, and other issues of concern. As a national concluding event, LGPA held a one-day National Conference, at the Tirana Sheraton, on March 23rd. Various presentations and panel sessions reviewed the accomplishments and challenges of the project, and produced suggestions and recommendations to guide future USAID activities in the local governance field.
